How it works
Estimates entropy (bits of randomness) from the password's length and which character sets it draws from, then converts that into an approximate crack time assuming a realistic offline attack rate of about 10 billion guesses per second.
Tips
- Length matters more than complexity — a 16-character passphrase of random words is typically stronger than an 8-character password with symbols crammed in.
- This never sends your password anywhere — it's typed into your browser and analyzed entirely on your device.
