How to edit a photo in your browser (no app, nothing uploaded)
You don't need Photoshop, a phone app, or an upload to a stranger's server to rotate a photo, brighten it or add a border. A browser can do all of it locally.

What the browser can do well
- Rotate and flip — fix a sideways phone photo, mirror an image.
- Brightness, contrast, saturation — rescue an under-exposed or flat-looking shot.
- Filter looks — grayscale, sepia, warm/cool, high-contrast, faded film.
- Blur and grayscale — de-emphasise a background or a whole image.
- Borders — a clean frame for a thumbnail or a product shot.
- Crop and resize — trim to a shape, hit a pixel size.
The non-destructive way to work
Editors that bake each change straight into the pixels punish experimentation — every tweak is another lossy re-save. Image Editor instead keeps your edits as a list of steps and rebuilds the result from the original image each time. Practically, that means:
- You can undo any step, not just the last one.
- Adding, removing or re-tuning a filter doesn't degrade what's underneath.
- The original file on your disk is never touched — you only get a new file when you export.
A typical sequence
1. Straighten / rotate so the horizon is level.
2. Crop with Crop Image to the composition and shape you want.
3. Adjust brightness and contrast until it looks right.
4. Optionally sharpen a little with Sharpen Image if it went soft after resizing.
5. Export as PNG for quality, or JPG/WebP for a smaller file.

- Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
- No. The editor works on a canvas in your browser — the image is read from your device and never sent to a server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
- Can I undo a change I made three steps ago?
- Yes. Each edit is a step in a list, and the editor replays that list from your original image, so undo genuinely removes a step's effect rather than trying to reverse it. Redo brings it back.
- Why do repeated filters not wreck the image here?
- Because every step is applied to the untouched original each time you change something, not stacked on top of the last preview. Quality loss doesn't compound while you experiment.
