Fraction Calculator

Add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions or mixed numbers, plus fraction/decimal conversion.

Calculated locally in your browser.
  • Enter as plain fractions or as mixed numbers (e.g. 2½) — the more intuitive everyday format for recipes and measurements.
  • Result is automatically reduced to lowest terms using the greatest common divisor, and shown as a mixed number too when applicable.
  • A separate Fraction ↔ Decimal converter for "what is 5/8 as a decimal" or the reverse — a different question from the four arithmetic operations.
  • Handles negative numerators and denominators.
  • Runs in your browser — instant, nothing uploaded.

Why this is private

  • Calculated locally in your browser.
  • Open your browser's DevTools → Network tab while using this tool — you won't see a request carrying your input, because it never leaves your device.
  • Nothing you enter is uploaded to a server or shared with us — the processing happens entirely on your device.
