Why it's two steps

Merge PDF works on PDF files only. So the images need to become a PDF first — that's what Image to PDF is for.

Steps

  • Add your JPG/PNG images to Image to PDF, put them in order, and download the image PDF.
  • Open Merge PDF and add both your original PDF and the new image PDF.
  • Drag them into the order you want (images before or after the document), then merge.
  • If the combined file is large, run it through Compress PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add images directly into Merge PDF?
No — Merge PDF combines PDF files only. Convert the images to a PDF first with Image to PDF, then merge that with your other PDFs.
Will the image pages match the size of the PDF pages?
Each image becomes its own page sized to the image. If you need a consistent page size, resize the images to the same dimensions before converting.
