Useful Hacks

How to combine scanned pages into one PDF

Useful Hacks Team·

The short version: if your scans are images, use Image to PDF. If they're separate PDF files, use Merge PDF. Either way, put them in order before you combine.

Image to PDF

Combine JPG and PNG images into one PDF — one image per page, in the order you choose.

Open Image to PDF

From image scans (phone camera, scanner app)

  • Add every image to Image to PDF.
  • Drag the thumbnails so the pages run in the right order — this is the step people forget.
  • Convert and download one PDF.

From separate PDF files (one per page)

  • Add the files to Merge PDF.
  • Reorder the list; the combined PDF follows it top to bottom.
  • Merge and download.

After combining

  • Too large for upload? Run it through Compress PDF — scans shrink a lot.
  • A page is rotated wrong? Use Rotate PDF on that page.

Do it now

Open Image to PDF for image scans, or Merge PDF for PDF files.
