How to make a PDF from any file

Useful Hacks Team·

The short version: it depends what you're starting from. Photos and images → Image to PDF. Office documents and web pages → your app's or browser's built-in "Save as PDF".

Image to PDF

Combine JPG and PNG images into one PDF — one image per page, in the order you choose.

From images (the common case)

Add your JPG or PNG files to Image to PDF, drag them into order, and download one PDF. This covers photographed pages, screenshots and scanned images. If the result is large, run it through Compress PDF.

From Word, Excel or PowerPoint

Use the application's Export as PDF / Save as PDF, or print to PDF from your operating system. These conversions need to reproduce fonts, tables and layout exactly, which is a server-side job — we don't ship a browser-only version that would quietly get it wrong.

From a web page

Open the browser's Print dialog (Ctrl/Cmd + P) and set the destination to Save as PDF.

Combining sources

Make each part a PDF first, then join them with Merge PDF.

Do it now

Open Image to PDF to turn pictures into a document.
